ZAR is a small, exclusive gym in Newstead. We do this by design.
Every session is run by a university-qualified Exercise Physiologist. Groups are capped, so the coaching stays personal. Programming is individual, even when the room is shared.
We are not a gym in the usual sense. There are no machines deciding the work for you and no music telling you how to feel. The room exists to do one thing well: train people seriously and sustainably for as long as they want to train.
At ZAR Athletica, we have over 15 years of experience in the health and fitness industry. We are university-qualified Exercise Physiologists & Exercise Scientists who go above and beyond to ensure you get the best results in your health and fitness journey.
We have been doing this for over fifteen years.
Our coaches are Exercise Physiologists. University-qualified, not weekend-certified. The difference shows up in the programming: in why a movement is chosen, how it is loaded, when it is progressed, and what is being protected against twenty years from now.
Most of our members are people for whom training has to fit around a serious job. The format is built for that: short sessions, no wasted time, and a coach in the room who knows what you did last Tuesday.
